Ugo Eclipse Transit Wheelchair with Height Adjustable Push Handles

Ideal for taller attendants, this lightweight 18" Eclipse transit wheelchair comes with height adjustable push handles allowing them to be set to a height that suits the person pushing the wheelchair. Just unscrew a thumbwheel on the handle collar and the push handles can be raised or lowered.

Setting push handles at the right height makes moving and turning the wheelchair easier and reduces the risk of back ache for the person pushing.

Based on the successful Esteem Eclipse model this transit wheelchair also comes with anti-tip wheels to the rear of the chair. These anti tip wheels help to stabilise the wheelchair and prevent it from tipping back excessively when tackling inclines or kerbs. The anti-tip wheels are height adjustable and can be set to one of five positions.

Adjustable height handles and attendant brakes

One of the key features of this transit wheelchair is its light weight of 11.9kgs or 7.3kgs without footrests, arm rests and wheels. This makes the chair easy to lift when its time to transport or store the wheelchair. The rear wheels are also quick release and are simple to remove.

The aluminium frame folds quickly and easily by lifting the centre of the seat fabric at both the front and the back. Once folded it occupies very little space and is just 12" wide.

Designed for users up to 115kgs or 18 stone, this wheelchair comes in an 18" seat width as standard. All wheels are puncture proof.

When you want to transfer on or off the Eclipse wheelchair, the arm rests flip up and back making space for side transfer. The footrests also flip up and swing away making space to stand if you chose to transfer from the front of the chair.
