The Pride Mobility iGo power chair is a new genre of electric wheelchair that can also be referred to as a boot scooter. This ingenious new folding power chair is an ideal solution for those who travel frequently and need to take their power chair with them.

This is one of the lightest power chairs on the market weighing in at under 23kgs with both batteries. With the batteries removed the power chair weighs just 19.8kgs making it very manageable when it comes to lifting for storage or transportation. Once folded the i-Go can be pulled along on its rear wheels. It can also be left stood up on its rear wheels when queuing or waiting.

A highly manoeuvrable folding power chair

The folding action is simple and makes the iGo extremely compact allowing it to be transported in a car boot with ease. Unlike some power chairs this model has suspension at the front which helps to make the ride more comfortable. Under the seat there is adequate storage for everyday items.

When fully charged, the iGo will travel at speeds up to 3.7mph (5.95 km) depending on the terrain. It's ideally suited to use both inside and out and has a turning radius of just 90cm (35.4") making it easy to navigate narrow doorways and confined spaces. Control is made simple using the Micon joystick control system which makes delicate manoeuvres very easy.
