Freedom Chair A08L Electric Wheelchair

The Freedom Chair A08L electric wheelchair features larger rear wheels and more power than the standard A08.

The A08L electric wheelchair comes with two x 250w continuous / 300w peak brushless motors which are used to drive larger 12" wheels which are ideally suited to outdoor use and will cope with rougher surfaces than the A08 or A06.

The Freedom Chair folds away with ease in seconds and can be moved once folded by using its backrest as a handle, making it truly portable and ideal for those who travel frequently. It weighs 28kgs with a single battery.

The powerchair is very comfortable and easy to use with its joystick which allows control of direction and speed. When it comes to stopping, this electric wheelchair has electromagnetic brakes meaning that it will slow and stop with ease, even with a larger user of up to 25 stone in weight.

The range of the Freedom Chair is 9 miles with a single battery or a second and even third battery can be fitted to extend the range to 18 miles and 27 miles respectively, while maintaining a respectable speed of up to 4mph or 6.5kph.

Ride comfort is good thanks to the pneumatic rear tyres and the coil springs that help to reduce vibration and any bumps.

Optional Attendant Control Kit

For some powerchair users having the option to hand over the control to an attendant is important. The attendant control kit allows a carer to control every aspect of the powerchair complete with an adjustable speed setting. When this is not required the attendant control can be switched off easily to allow the user full control.
