Drive DeVilbiss AutoFold Powerchair

This auto folding powerchair from Drive Medical is a compact highly manoeuvrable chair that is ideally suited to those who travel frequently.

Designed for users up to 23.5 stone this sturdy powerchair has a folding aluminium frame. With a range of 7.5 miles from a single battery charge, the AutoFold powerchair is capable of speeds up to 4 miles per hour.

Comfort levels are good thanks to the front suspension that removes much of the vibration caused by uneven surfaces. The chair seat is nicely padded as is the height adjustable backrest. The arm rest can be flipped up to make transfer on or off the chair easier. The foot rest also flips up to allow easy access on and off the chair.

An autofold powerchair with remote control

When on the move, the joystick provides fine control of both speed and direction. Alongside the joystick control there is a battery gauge to indicate how much charge you have remaining in the 24 volt lithium battery. This powerchair uses electromagnetic braking which provides efficient smooth braking and stopping.

When you are not using the chair it can be folded with ease by the push of a button. Within seconds the AutoFold chair has folded and reduced in size to allow it to be stored or transported with ease. When it is time to use it once again you simply push the button again and the chair unfolds ready for use in seconds.

To the rear of the powerchair, there are anti tippers which prevent the chair from over extending and tilting backwards. Overall, this compact highly manoeuvrable powerchair is the ideal solution for use inside or outside.
