Shoprider Sena Electric Wheelchair

The Shoprider Sena powerchair from Roma Medical is a fantastic electric wheelchair that is designed for users up to 16 stone in weight. Its 6 wheeled design makes it a very stable yet manoeuvrable powerchair that is equally suited to use inside or out. It comes with a fairly unique feature allowing you to adjust both the seat height and the seat angle.

Described as easily transportable, the Sena powerchair breaks down in to a few separate components with ease allowing you to transport it when needed. When in use, the Sena has a good range of up to 15 miles and will travel at 4mph on the flat.

The captain’s style seat is very comfortable and provides plenty of support. It swivels to make getting on and off the powerchair easier. The footplate flips up when required as do the padded arm rests. The joystick controller can be mounted on either side and the arm rest height can be adjusted to ensure maximum comfort. There is an adjustable lap seat belt for added user security.

One key feature of the Sena electric wheelchair is the overall width which is just 57cm or 22" which makes it very easy to pass through the average doorway. The turning circle is tight meaning that you can virtually turn on the spot which is ideal when you are manoeuvring in confined spaces. It has better ground clearance than many owerchairs at 7cm so will cope with the lumps and bumps in the pavement with ease.

When it comes to charging the Sena the twin 12 volt 21Ah batteries remain on board. The Sena uses twin motors to propel itself. It has a useful free wheel feature which allows it to disengage the motors. All wheels are puncture proof so you won't be let down when you are about on your travels.
